Objectives:

Primary Charitable Objects:

Without considering caste & creed of any beneficiary the Association shall carry out following objects:

a. To provide an effective bond with various batches of students passing out through the College of Home Science Nirmala Niketan through all departments namely Foods, Nutrition and Dietetics, Human Development, Textiles & Fashion Technology, and Community Resource Management, etc. Students of any other new departments or renamed departments under this college will be included.

b. To promote collaborative relationships among passed out students of the College so as to form a forum, which can take up issues related to the field of knowledge and the College.

c. To organize programs related to various activities.

d. To raise funds, accept donations, gifts and legacies for the activities of the “Association” and the “College”.

e. To provide Need based Interest Free Loan Scholarships to deserving students.

f. To provide Merit based Awards, Recognition to Meritorious students.

g. To provide funds for development of Infrastructure of the college.

Additional Charitable Objects:

a. To adopt ways and means for the spiritual, moral & material progress of the society, on the basis of Indian Culture and Traditions.

b. To organize such meetings, seminars, symposia, discourses (Educational, Scientific, Social, Cultural and Ethical gatherings) so as to increase the knowledge and promote understanding of the society, in order to make them better citizens.

c. To initiate welfare schemes that may inculcate self-discipline, patriotism, social understanding, mutual cooperation, and feeling of harmony, National Integration and unity amongst the society.

d. To indicate adequate ways and means to the alumni members, current students and society for attaining self-sufficiency and overcoming poverty.

e. To do within the framework of the objects all such other things as may be directly or indirectly conducive or incidental to the attainment or advancement of the objects or any one of them and to do all other activities from time to time.

f. To promote dance, drama, music, literature, humanities and social sciences based on Indian Culture and Traditions.

g. To commemorate India’s many splendid contributions to humanitarian and aesthetic values and to advance the frontiers of awareness in pursuit of the Truth.

h. To foster tolerance and understanding among all sections of the society.

i. To organize courses and camps for social services and social development.

j. In addition to the above objects, the Association may pursue all other objects which promote National Interests, and Social and Cultural development of the Society.
